I believe Kiffin has a reduced buyout if their AD is fired.
They both have different agents. Kiffin with Sexton, Kelly with Armstrong.
But that would definitely be a clever way to reduce the Kelly buyout, or persuade him to resign with a negotiated settlement.

The buyout Kelly would have to pay to LSU in order for him to leave on his own goes away if Woodward gets fired as athletic director.
The buyout that LSU owes Kelly for LSU firing him is completely unaffected by whether Woodward gets fired or not.
No athletic director would agree to a coach buyout clause that effectively guarantees that he’d be fired first before the head coach.

I dont have a problem keeping SW. He needs yo be under strict supervision when negotiating contracts

Pay whatever you want per year but coaching contracts should be no longer than 5 years.
