It's looking like a final 3 of Jimbo, Orgeron, Fedora for LSU's Head Coach.

I need honest true feedback LSU Tiger fanatics on this development that came via Bleacher Report this morning. Let's Geaux Tiger faithful!!

At this point, I would keep the bird in the hand of Orgeron over Fedora. I touted him as a consolation prize last year, but there is just nothing exciting about him taking over at LSU. It would be a very meh hire.
ETA- Auto downvote for mentioning anything from that rag. tRant is more intelligent.

Bleacher Report typically just passes on rumors from other sites.

Do NOT want. He would be a waste, he constantly loses games at UNC that he should win and has no idea how to use his talent (sound familiar?)

AD JOE is actually doing the right thing here. Looks like it could go either way between Coach O and Jimbo. Giving Coach O a chance IF he can have the right OC waiting inline for him.

I remember people including myself so angry with Jimbo over being predictable in his play calling. Now he is a quarterback developer and a mastermind of offensive ingenuity. How soon we forget.

Was Tom Herman ever a realistic candidate?

Was good at Southern Miss but left them with nothing after Austin Davis graduated. Was there from 08-11. USM could have easily gone undefeated that year and made a BCS Bowl. But after he left they didnt win a game for over a year.

You mean bubble screens?

Jimbo averaged 4 losses per year before Winston, did well with Winston, now averages 3 losses per year after Winston.
No thanks.

And many of you think Miles was the only HC to ever meddle in the offense. Go back and look at Saban's offenses before he woke up and handed the reigns over to Kiffin. He made no bones about what he wanted when he was here- he wanted to run the ball and control the clock.
I gues you have selectively forgotten 2001, when after a 3-3 start, Fisher convinced Saban that the O Line wasn't at the point where we could be a run-first team, and got him to loosen the reigns. And Davey and Reed re-wrote the LSU record books and lead us to an SEC Title. I guess you also forgot the back half of 2006. Or that Jimbo hasn't looked like that since he took over at FSU.
Jimbo isn't the be-all, end-all, but the dismissiveness is ridiculous. Some of you can't look past your own noses. Just damn.

Next year's head coach is coaching his team at home this Saturday at noon against Florida.

Bleacher Report moved us from 19 to 20 after beating arky, that alone should show how garbage they are.

That's a terrible final 3 other than Jimbo.

You're describing Lane Kiffin at places like USC and Tennessee too. LSU fans who want O swear he can go get Lane Kiffin (as about as likely as me growing wings) and all would be peachy.
Listen for people who want O, give me 3 pro style offensive coordinators at or near the top of their game in QB development, and great offense, that we can get with say 1.3- 1.5 mill. None can be Lane Kiffin.
IF we are going to do the pro style thing, which I believe we should 100% go spread, why not just get Jimbo and cut the BS? At least with Jimbo we know we have offense and QB play consistently good every year. Even when Aranda leaves, we can take the hit a lot better knowing the O is squared away. And you lose nothing in recruiting going with Jimbo.
