I think if we end up hiring a coach in the tier 2 category (think Napier, Aranda, or Tucker) I doubt they end up being the highest paid coach in the land, and honestly, if it's not Jimbo, I think we end up in the tier 2 category.

If we have to match/exceed the A&M contract, we’ll be tied to him for a very long time whether Scott can bring himself to fire his buddy or not. His buyout is ridiculous.

After seeing recruits talk about Jimbo and him landing who he did recently for TAMU, I'm pretty convinced he's not coming to LSU. That or he's doing a massive troll job and internal sabotage on a division rival by the time he does take the LSU job. I doubt he's doing that.

They seem to be ready to build the future with TAMU with Jimbo. He's hard on the recruiting trail landing top elite blue chip recruits and doing an amazing job. If he was taking the LSU job why are recruits signaling him building TAMU up for the future and why would he be pushing so much effort into landing them on a division rival? He's not coming to LSU, imo. I honestly don't think our admin is that impressed with him for the money he'll demand.

It seems all too convenient that these leaks have been bottled up quite amazingly yet the Jimbo stuff keeps leaking with not a single peep on the TAMU side. That's some major trolling Jimbo is doing to his future division rival. Why would you continue to do your job and hand them guys like Nolan who will mutilate LSU? You can't say he's doing that so they switch a commitment to LSU because they're probably not sold on LSU as a university anyway. If he accepted the job he's spreading his cheeks for TAMU recruits considering how well he has recruited. He might get 1 or 2 of those guys to come over but most are not...

LSU may be interested in him but there's no way absolutely no way in hell he has accepted this job or even gave an acknowledgement that he's going to accept it. Almost seems asinine to see it any other way even if he may end up with some interest. Right now, no. If he is greatest troll job ever which I'm not going to believe. It's more likely this is leaks that are intentional to add instability to a division rival.

There has been chatter on the TAMU side, you would continue to do your job because that's what is expected of you, a guy like Jimbo is going to still recruit as hard as he can whether he's at that particular school next season or he isn't, if he accepted the job when I think he did, he's doing exactly what a coach should be doing, he's still officially the HC of TAMU, and he's recruiting like it. I'm not sure how you can be so sure he hasn't accepted the job, Jimbo is a polished guy, he's going to play it cool.

We have Woodward attached at the hip to Jimbo.....I suspect the reality is very different.

We like to think that Woodward is some svengali and his hires bring championships. Where is the Natty's for TAMU or UW???? I mean if your going that route, Alleva matches up just as good if not better. Will Wade did well and Orgeron a National Championship. Hell, Skip was the man, he had a National championship in football(Miles) and baseball (Mainieri)
