Is Scott Frost "morally" obligated to accept an offer from Nebraska?

Wouldn't there be some people in the sports world and sports media that would think it rude of frost to turn down the place that made him who he is, that provided him so much, that built him?
To me, you go to the place that you feel is the best place for you and the place where you think you can achieve the highest form of success, but some old school people would probably not like if he turned down neb.

Returning to Nebraska would be the right thing to do, morally.
Is it the best thing to do? I don't know. If he just goes to Nebraska and sucks it wasn't good for him or them. Same thing for Florida.

So every coach is morally obligated to coach at his Alma mater if asked? Yikes!

He went there. Nebraska is likely interested. It doesn't seem right to not accept the chance to save the farm so to speak. Not making an effort to save home could seem morally wrong
But if it is not a good fit he shouldn't go. If it wouldn't work it's a waste of time for Nebraska and will only hurt his career.
This is what I mean with my other post

Is Nebraska morally obligated to not fire him if things go south?

Why don’t you ask how Kirby or Spurrier feels about it?

shite Nick Saban went to Kent State, how much does he owe them to coach there?

No. That would be asinine.
But I would think twice before accepting Florida's offer. I just read that Mullen's wife would occasionally drive to Orlando to do grocery shopping to avoid dealing with the people in Gainesville.
quote:
“The former school where we were at before, we won championships there, won practically every single game we played for four years there,” Megan Mullen said. “It wasn’t if we won or lost. It was if we didn’t score 43 points or more, I was going to the grocery store in Orlando where I worked with the Golf Channel and I was driving the groceries back to Gainesville, because it was that bad.”

I don't think there is a moral quagmire here.

Fans in neb need to realize this is not Nebraska of the 80s 90s they have ran off their share of coches

Ppl keep saying Neb is "Mama" but Scott is married with a baby so he has another mama to answer to. Happy wife..

He won't have to worry about Lawrence Phillips dragging his gfs around by the hair anymore.

Roy Williams stayed at Kansas when UNC came calling the first time, but went later. He also knew it would be his last gig.
Don't see any morality about not taking that job if you don't want it, especially at this point in his career. If he goes there and fails, he's back to a small school. If he takes an opportunity for more success (like Florida would offer), then he could look to return to Nebraska in his later years.
He's too young to do that unless it's what he absolutely wants to do, but I would never think he is obligated to do so. That's just bizarre.

Yea, I'm sure everyone in Gainesville recognized Mullen's wife and harassed her at the grocery store.

Kinda what I'm thinking. If he goes to UF and doesn't have the success or is flat out mediocre, he can always go back to Nebraska. Not sure that he can do that the other way around
