He's a dick every day, but I hope he's never a Cock.

Yeah, more likely than not it will be Muschamp.

Not as bad as the one that Jackass Foley gave WM.

I disagree with that. You're basically saying he's forever a failure. Gene Chizik started out 5-19 as a HC before he won at Auburn. While many Auburn fans wanted to cover themselves in the "Gus won it" blanket", history is starting to show that Chizik is the better coach.

Laugh it up Boog.

Chizik is the DC playing for a championship on Saturday.

Gus' winning percentage has steadily dropped since arriving at Auburn. The further he gets from Chizik teams, the more he loses.

You're probably one of those Barners that signed the Ritter petition aren't you.

I'm excited for the staff he could potentially assemble here.

It would be a letdown after all of the Herman/Smart speculation, no doubt.

But he does bring some things that USC needs, and brings them in spades. The staff that he could assemble, and the ability to recruit with tenacity is a welcome change from the "eh, frick it" philosophy of the Spurriers.

Cautiously optimistic, I think describes about 60% of us. The rest will complain about Hon until he either wins 8/9 games, or he gets fired.

Thanks, Jay Jacobs. What a great contract you whipped up.

Yall are so fricking hung up on blaming JJ for everything.

what does it matter to Auburn if he leaves today vs. after the weekend?

Fair enough.

I hope he learned his lessons about getting a functioning offense. He had the "Les Miles Syndrome" at Florida, and it sank him.

I think his last OC Kurt Roper was a successful hire. Maybe he can reconnect with Roper back at South Carolina.

The difference is Chizik made an upgrade by going from Iowa State to Auburn. He had better recruits, better fan support, better assistants, everything. Lots of built in advantages.

South Carolina is not an upgrade from Florida. If he couldn't win at Florida, it's illogical that he could win at a lesser program in the very same division.

I'm really worried about this hire. As for Muschamp, I'm cautiously optimistic. I think he could be a solid hire if he hires the right staff and has learned from his mistakes at Florida. 247 released an article about his change in offense philosophy and going in the direction of a run-pass option offense, which if he can actually stick to it I think could be successful with his recruiting ability. Also, I'd at least be happy if he could get Brad Lawing back in Columbia.
