Or are we a 1st tier program run by 2nd tier people like F king Alexander and Joe Alleva?

Programs like Michigan, Ohio State, Texas, Florida State, Alabama get the guys they target.

Is LSU just not a destination job?

Are we just not on that level?

Or are we run by clowns?

I don't think it's a 2nd tier job...it's just not about that anymore. It's 100% about money. Coaches don't want to coach for a "prestigious" football program anymore, they just want a payday. College football has turned into more of a pro sport in the last 5-10 years. Nobodies going to go somewhere because "it's Texas" or "It's USC"...we just didn't want to believe it.

None of those programs would hire their DL coach as HC

Before today, no.

After today, yes. We have a legit bottom tier Head Coach and a completely clueless administration.

You sent a message about expectations when you fired Miles. If rumors are true, you didn't want to pay for those expectations for any of the up and coming coaches. The combination of those two things makes the job less attractive than LSU fans think or want to believe.

Don't think we're a 2nd tier job, but we sure haven't been a 1st tier during this regime.

2nd tier is too high of a ranking.

Yes, the hiring of Ed Orgeron proves that LSU football is second-rate.
