USC then Georgia, IMO

I don't think so for a few reasons. USC and Georgia will probably pay a coach about the same and it costs a fortune to live out there. The coach will also be paying so much in California tax that they will at almost 50% in taxes. A good tax man can reduce that a good bit but it will still be more than he's paying in Georgia by a lot. Smart people will look at everything and this will be a considerable ding to anyone considering both jobs. Not to mention USC is in the middle of the ghetto. Ive lived in California and it ain't all that great not matter what people that have never been there tell you on a message board.

UGA is better. Better stadium. Better facilities. Great recruiting territory. It's a great job.

Yeah, they're all talking about SoCal.

No poster with half a brain would think that South Carolina is as good of a job as Georgia, or even 50% of the job as Georgia.

Do you know how good life is when you pull in 5 million a year and live in Los Angeles

There is no better place to be

And USC is a top 5 traditional blue blood and has the easiest recruiting in the land

FTR...I think USCe is a sleeping giant...if I was an up and coming coach like Fuentes/Hermann no way I turn down USCe...it would be great gig...build my own tradition..etc

If you make 5 mil in LA, you are bringing home 1/2 of that or less. Also, depending on where you live, you will be living in a 3-4000 sq ft house that you way over payed for where the same money in GA gets you 3x the square footage. Don't even mention property tax.

To people that have lived there already, literally everywhere is better. LA is one giant water starved, desert ghetto surrounded by Beverly hills, Hollywood hills, bel air and a few other places. No coach is making enough to live in any of those neighborhoods and unlike college towns, college coaches are not the man in LA. Anyone living decently will live 45 minutes to an hour away and commute.

Property tax in California is limited to 1%. It's. Big part of why our schools are so bad and our infrastructure is deteriorating.

It only makes sense to me that it's more expensive to live here than Georgia. The question is how much are you willing to pay for the privilege of living here. For me it's worth it. For many others not at all.

Why wouldn't USCw be discussed on the coaches changes board? Did this get moved from somewhere else?
