Let's just hire their high school coaches then, they probably liked them.

wow, the players like him. thats not gonna go over very well with some of the fans on here.

Tommy Hodson, one of the best QBs to ever wear purple and gold, along with several other members of the team, spoke up publicly about wanting Mike Archer hired as LSU's head coach when Arnsparger quit to become AD of Florida.

I was pretty young, but it took me exactly two and half years after Archer was hired to realize that player's opinions on hiring coaches are worthless.

Supposedly, we fricken passed over Steve Spurrier, Mike Shanahan, and Mack Brown when we hired Archer...but the team liked him!

This lesson should have been learned after Archer.

they hope to just start the season with him as oc and none of us will notice.

Ensminger is the oc and sullivan will be the wr coach/ passing game coordinator.

They should be ashamed for lying to us. I have never seen our fan base so united in our opposition to a hire. I honestly don’t think it has to do with Ensminger. It has to do with the fact that we were lied to.

How many time do we have to see it not work out before we stop giving a frick about what the players want.

The players will always want continuity. It represents safety in their job. This goes for any work place situation. If you try to implement change in the process, there will always be resistance by the old guard.

This. The players are also 18 to 22 years old. And we all know how good of decisions the average 18 to 22 year old makes.

I’m not taking up for O whatsoever, but what a ridiculous comment.

Hey, let’s listen to the fans that have no idea what’s going on and only repeats what’s said on Message boards that’s actually third and fourth hand information. Forget about the players. The kids that have first hand knowledge and actually are part of the program itself inside the doors.

You don't need to listen to the fans to know not to hire guys nobody else wants. Listen to your peers leading other athletic departments.

The players wanted to keep Les too. That worked out great for 5 more games.

All I can say is that iv'e seen two player retweets about him being a good coordinator and he knows his shite.

Do you know how incredibly hard it is to find a coach that doesn't have a few players sing his praises?

Even Franchione had dudes backing him up at A&M even after that a-hole was caught secretly selling their injury information to people.

Third and least likely - LSU is rethinking the hire due to the backlash and anti SE factions are making one final push for another candidate

Les MIles that Sly fox. Knows he needs to be a coordinator before he can be a head coach again!
