One has Cam for a qb and the other doesn’t.

Matt got Canned because Saban literally mocked his offense before holding it to 10 points.

LSU outgained Bama in that game and scored 0 the year before and after against Bama, barely hit the yardage total from 2017 in 16 and 18 combined.

Have you watched the Steelers offense? Canada shouldn’t have a job

Canada might be gone after the season. I mean Ben is done but their offense hasn’t been good either.

Canada failure was all on Orgeron.

I don't think he really fit in regards to scheme because I don't think we needed as much pre-snap motion that he liked to use... that being said, if he was here for more than 1 season I have a feeling he would have adjusted to the athletes he had and find a way to incorporate his pre-snap motion more effectively.

Orgeron wanted a very different style of offense. He wanted to be spread out and attack via passing game primarily.

I can’t think of an offensive style more opposite of that than Canada.

That doesn’t make Canada a bad coach. What it does show is that Orgeron either wasn’t in control of his coordinator hires out of the gate...or that he had no idea of what he wanted on offense out of the gate.

Matt go steamrolled by a moron coach that didn’t understand his offense before hiring him, the firing was also supported by a dumb fan base that didn’t like all that pussy motion stuff !

One thing you cannot deny is that the linemen were gassed after 2 quarters of "that pussy motion stuff". Now was that because of strength and conditioning coach or just a poor plan on Canada's part? You tell me.

Yall remember the first play of that BYU game when the OL did a bunch of motion and the superdome crowd collectively creamed itself before we even ran a play?

Precisely. However, one of them was hated by the fan base as a gimmicky a-hole who couldn't play well with others, and one was worshipped by the fan base as a walk-on-water super-guru.

It also doesn't hurt that Canada has a potential HOF QB to run the offense versus Cam or Darnold as your QB and a more talented team overall as a whole.

He's looking a bit creaky right now and this may be his last season. Big Ben was a beast but now not up to his past levels.

He's still better than the 2 I mentioned earlier even if he's about to retire and isn't close to the player he used to be.
