Jimmies rustled, what statements have indicated that? Most overused statement on this board. Can't have a discussion anymore.

On mobile. He has denied it in the last two months.

Too old to start over.
University of Mars isn't better.
Etc.

I'm trying to. You're the one closing doors on any question that's presented.

And you believe that?

And you believe that?

So if he's too old to start over anywhere and yadda yadda, why not just come right out and say it. Every one knows it's out now. Just stop it if he's not going anywhere, no?

It's a legitimate question. He certainly doesn't need anyones approval to do so.

So why make a denial if no one believes it?

Can't win.

Deny what? That's just it. No one is saying anything official. If it's official and it's a done deal, every one will believe it. Until then it's all speculation which is why I said it's weird that Saban himself hasn't said anything about it in the last week or so. Certainly since the Iron Bowl. A lot has happened at Bama in the last two weeks. The Iron Bowl, Nussmeier being interviewed for the UW job... (that's for a different thread) If you go back and read what I originally posted, I stated that it's my opinion. I find it strange.

Obviously you don't. And that's ok. I'm not trying to get in a big internet brawl with you.

It just doesn't add up, to me.

He's about to do a PR pitch and they will ask him about Texas... He will give his "I'm staying at Alabama" speech and this is over

Sexton got raises for saban and Gus. More like he got himself a big raise. At some poin. A university needs to stand there ground. Bama should have said "he is already the highest paid what more can you ask for?"

He's gone. If he was staying they would have asked him the question so he could put the rumors to rest on national tv. The subject wasn't even broached. A deal was made and ESPN will get the exclusive tomorrow on the Saban to Texas hire.

If Bama doesn't go to the NC it would be easier for him to dip out too, i'm not saying I think he will leave... but for him to not lobby for them to have a spot in the natty, and for them not to ask about the rumors is suspect.

Well, to be fair. Alabama really doesn't have a case for the natty unless both FSU and OSU lose. He would look like a complete dumbass lobbying for bama going to big game right now.

More money. Thats a silly question. Even if you are the highest paid, you deserved it and for the school to keep him they need to always pay more. And 100% fact Saban is not going to Texas.

In other words, Bama should "stand their ground" and tell sexton to frick off?

I don't believe he'll leave. He has built the program to a point where he has a legion of gumps that would suck a fart out of his arse, and hold it like a bong hit. As far as the endless speculation about Texas, how dumb do you have to be not to understand it? Saban has brought this upon himself. It's what he's most known for...being a whore for hire. For that reason, his name will always be at the center of rumor and speculation. Again, I don't think he'll ever leave, but it would be so entertaining to watch the meltdown in gumpville if he did.

Everyone enjoy the games today.
