The reality is, we may be screwed, blued, and tattooed if Les Miles leaves.

I see Hoke over there on the sidelines screaming at Michigan "Pick me! Pick me!" I don't see anyone, anywhere doing the same for LSU.

Yeah, we may get some good looks from some good coaches. We also may have to settle for someone less than Les.

michigan has a known vacancy, we don't. i think many coaches don't think miles will leave. BUT, i have heard that Tubberville and Pellini are screaming PICK ME, PICK ME via their agents. bet others are too. my opinion is that, on a national basis, LSU is a more sought after job than the Michigan job. we pay better, we play in the SEC and our recruiting grounds are more fertile, esp when you consider it is easier for a recruit to qualify academically at LSU. do not misunderstand me, i'm a huge and long time miles supporter, even when things were going bad.

LSU will be fine after Les Miles is gone. In fact, it will be better. And we won't have a problem getting a new, high quality coach.

I'm well aware of that team. I'm just saying that stepping in to win a championship is a pretty appealing move based on Gruden's past.

BS. You'll go into a Downward Spiral/Downturn/Jetwash drifting out to sea. But that's what you asked for.

This is such a unique situation more than most figure. How often does a program stocked like LSU's come open for a job off of an 11 win season with this many special players ?

Well, that settles that! I can rest easy now.

Not that I don't believe this, (maybe I don't), but why would Pelini want to come to LSU from Nebraska? That's a storied program, is in good shape now, going to the Big 10, etc. I don't see why he'd want to come back to the hornets nest that is the SEC.

Because Nebraska is weak for recruiting, but I hope he stays at Nebraska personally.
