He gains literally nothing by leaving for another school at this point. He’s a part of the community here and does a lot more than coach football. He’s got personal stake & a legacy built on his presence in Tuscaloosa.

It's sad that you're even here having to defend this perspective

LSU fans already look crazy by just assuming Riley is in the bag, while no reputable source is reporting on it happening. Now we have a couple thinking it could be SABAN

I don't know about bigger, but I agree on it's not Riley.

Just a feeling

You people are lunatics if you think Saban is headed back to Baton Rouge. Take a little break for your own health.

You understand a bigger hire than Riley is confined to 3-4 guy right? Unless you think it’s Saban, Meyer or Dabo- no one has a better resume than Riley

Saban is the only one bigger than Riley - we would only have him a couple of years. He's getting old.

He may THINK that.

Be he doesn’t know it.

He knows he’s won more at Alabama, even in his first 5 years there

I’ve had the same feeling that Riley is too obvious,,,,not Woodward’s style. Call me crazy but the quote Woody said about everyone would be pleased screams maybe Sean Payton is bailing on New Orleans or something of that nature

He does. But that school is not LSU. It would be a third school to lead to a championship. LSU does nothing for his legacy at this point. It is a juvenile fantasy to believe he returns.

The fact that you're not just blowing him off and sitting there going back and forth defending it makes you look extremely stupid. You know that right?

Oh and frick you for being all smug about the state of LSU right now. I guess you don't remember the early 2000's? Does the name Albert Means ring a bell? How about five years of probation and a two year post season ban? And that was considered a slap on the wrist.

We all know the problems at LSU. But it irks the shite out of me when somebody sits on their high horse when your own house has a history of the same shite.

Just because a few people said it would be Nick Saban doesn't mean the majority think that, retard.

I do not believe it is Riley either. Riley is the Tennessee Coach when Woodward was hiring for Baseball.

All the smoke has been around Riley and Fisher (and other lower tier coaches) . Everyone has written Dabo Sweeny off because Finebaum said Sweeny has a 45 million dollar buyout and will take the Alabama job after Saban is done. That is wrong though, there is a 45 million dollar buyout which Clemson would have to pay Sweeny if Clemson fires him. If Sweeny leaves for another job he owes Clemson between 3-6 million (1.5 million more if he goes to Alabama). I contend Sweeny does not want to follow in Saban's footsteps; where he will immediately be expected to win championships every year. Time is now to move into the SEC with Texas and Oklahoma coming in (ACC will become irrelevant).

Based on the Woodward's past, look where there is no smoke...it is Dabo.

There is no one bigger than Riley other than Saban or Urban. Unless it’s an NFL whale.

Our job was open again just 4 or 5 years ago, but Saban showed no interest whatsoever. That would've been a much better time for him to do this Earth-shaking switcharoo, don't you think?
