There is no mix to be added to. The number one choice and fallback choices have already been arranged. This isn't a search anymore, it's a waiting game.

Good coach. More proven than Tucker or Kiffin. I would give the edge to Aranda, but wouldn't be mad if LSU pulled the trigger on Campbell.

I’m confused about the Matt Campbell love. My nephew works for their athletic department and he’s always bragged about the 3-3-5 stack defense they run but MC is an offensive guy. Their offense has never impressed me but their defense does. Maybe someone can explain what I’m missing?

I think Matt Campbell is a football guy. He actually played defensive line, so I'm sure he has a solid understanding of that side of the ball.

Good point but him playing Dline in college but never coaching defense still means that he’s probably tied to his DC abd if that guy doesn’t come with then…. It sounds like Dabo without BV, which I wouldn’t want either.

Would be a great hire and very Jay Johnson like after the smokescreens we’ve seen. I doubt MC would let anyone announce anything until they have played their last game. More proven than Aranda or Tucker and obviously can recruit since Ames isn’t a hotbed of talent or a destination for most kids.

Camphell turned down the nfl and other college jobs to stay at isu.
