I'm beginning to think it's Urban Meyer

The more I mull the candidates and the various smokescreens that keep getting thrown up, I keep coming back to Urban Meyer who is very much flying under the radar.
He's not going to USC, Florida, or Ohio State. Each of those jobs is locked up or will be locked up long-term (Fickell to OSU if Day jumps to the NFL). Meyer's NFL adventure seems to be on borrowed time, not to mention his relationship with Shad Khan doesn't seem particularly good. There is simply no other candidate with the type of home run resume or coaching chops that Meyer would bring (outside of Saban).
From some of the rumors of the hire being an "NFL coach" and "someone you wouldn't expect", how much would a Meyer hire shock the football world? I'm beginning to think this is the path we're heading down.

It really would be, not to mention pretty much out from left field. The same people that don't give Meyer much of a shot don't understand Woody's motivations in wanting to bring an A lister to campus that can very much match wits with the greatest minds in college football. Meyer is that guy.

Amazes me that LSU fans think that dumpster fire Urban Meyer would be a home run hire. I seriously hate that guy and I can't believe any real LSU fan doesn't.

My source (the same person who got this board in a frenzy last night) said Urban is a no go for this exact reason.
