Where am I moving from and how much is LSU upping my salary?
Like if it's a few hundred thousand to move from DFW? Hell nah. If it's double my salary to move from Waco? Sure I'd do that.

Everyone always says shite like this, but do you really think coaches just live up the town? We heard this a lot with 'Saban to Texas' and how Austin was so much better than Tuscaloosa, and it always made me laugh because the idea of Saban doing a bar crawl on 6th street is just hilarious.

Baton Rouge if, we're being honest, is a terrible city. Bad weather, constant flooding, crime, bad schools, culcha, but no real culture compared to NOLA or Lafayette. Quality of life has to be factored in. If you made $6 million in a nice, safe, clean college town, would you move to a shithole for an extra few million?
When will people realize that head coaches are not swayed by this kind of stuff when making their career moves?

Not just about the money…LSU is a premier program and many coaches would love the opportunity. The money helps though lol.

For a regular job? Probably not.
To be head football coach of the LSU Tigers? Yea bruh.
SEC is CFB country, and in those relative terms BR ain’t that bad buddy. Only a handful of places like ATL & Knoxville that are really better towns by any wide margin.
Tuscaloosa? A school whose field’s name is Kyle? Oxford is cool if you’re 19 but also around 10 square feet. Cowbell country? GAINSVILLE???
Barf. Barf. Barf. Barf. And barf.

This. Baton Rouge is fine. Baton Rouge is especially fine if you're a multimillionaire who can afford to live wherever you want.

These people that criticize baton rouge obviously dont get around town to the nicer areas and just stay near the interstates. Btw, ive been to alot of cities and every single one of them has bad areas where i wouldnt live and good areas where i would.

Almost no one who lives outside of your zip code could find your school on a map without help that's why he would leave for Baton Rouge at the drop of a hat.
