If I had to take a guess, I would say either Dabo or Brian Kelly.

I have no doubt Woody is high on Jimbo but I do wonder if that would come across as a “lazy hire” (I don’t consider it that) due to Woodward getting Jimbo before. Not sure if the powers that be want that cloud hanging over the hire.

Dabo makes it a splash hire due to his skins on the wall. You could argue that he had legendary QBs but he does have two rings.

Kelly might have hit his peak at Notre Dame. Getting to the CFP and getting waxed must get old. I can’t help but think that the LSU resources would make him think quite a bit.

It seems that Woodward can be quite the salesman so we’ll just have to wait and see. That being said, I am just speculating for the fun of it. Both of those names would give some of the fanbase pause but either Dabo or Kelly would be seen as a big hire nationally.

I have said from Day 1 it was going to be Brian Kelly. I'm going to stand by that because I think this will end up being completely out of left field. Conventional wisdom will not apply.

Its going to be a 50/50 situation for a while. Half will hate it. Half will love it.

Its just the most Woodard hire he could possibly make. I'm choosing to block out the noise.
