If you couldn't tell, 0's propaganda machine is up and running on the OC situation

Everyone knows Meddlin' Ed is simply looking to surround himself with people he's comfortable with now that the heat is on. Ensminger is that, someone he is comfortable with, who won't question his authority and who he can control. That's why he has been the choice from the start. Secondly, 0 knows that he has zero shot at getting a good candidate given how he railroaded Canada in one single year.
The talking point being pushed by Herr Ponamsky's online minions is to push blame off of 0 onto either the AD or the BoS. That's why you are seeing the conspiracy theories of: "they" won't give him the money and "they" won't let him interview who he wants.
That is clearly bullshite, because just last year they let O hire who he wanted, Canada, and just this year, they not only fired Canada to pay his buyout, but increased Aranda's salary. The money is there and 0, as the head coach, still has power to wield (ugh) he just doesn't want to. Do not bite on the propaganda, folks.

Your post is wrong on some points. I agree that the PR machine is working. However, it was Alleva who hired Canada because O agreed to the condition of his job that we would go big and expensive with the OC. If it was up to O, he would have hired Ensminger last year. I think O did want to bring in Freeze, or based on Kiffin's recommendation, Briles. Both were shot down. The key element is O did not want to bring in somebody he did not know from past travels. Gilbert may have been the exception.

If your a Boss you always want people around you that you can work with. I work Contract Jobs and the first thing we do is try to find the people you have worked with. If you cannot work with the people around you then either you going to drag up or they are going to drag up.

As devil's advocate I halfway want to believe the notion floated around that Lyin' Ed wanted to have a makeshift trial in which Freeze could defend his character (perhaps call in a few good ole baws as character witnesses) before the BoS, only to be turned down before getting the opportunity. It's a fittingly pathetic scenario that sounds like something a desperate 16 year old on thin ice would try to do... so that's what makes it believable to me. Some damn good propaganda.

i don't think anyone here has any problems with Ensminger being on the staff here.
i don't think anyone would have used O's friendship with Freeze, Sark, or Kiffin as a negative (their own baggage would have been the complaints).

they are undoubtedly pro O, to the point of slightly nauseating, but that is some of the best LSU content you will find during the season.
Billy is an unabashed O supporter, but his post game analysis is always a good read, he has a pretty solid grasp of the Xs and Os.
but yeah, anything written about the program as whole as opposed to a game preview/postmortem or something about recruiting, I would consider the source.

the only thing that is busted is the segment of LSU fans on this forum who are hoping for ORgeron's failure and therefore LSU's failure.
I wasn't thrilled about the hire but he is the coach.
I don't know a thing about ATVS and its relationship to Orgeron. However it seems like they have been pretty critical multiple times.
Still most of the immature inhabitants of this site are posting rumor, innuendo, conjecture and emotional nonsense.
Canada was not all that and a bag of chips. He was a cancer and has been everywhere he has been.

I love that the ATVS guy is using the EXACT same talking points everyone used for Orgeron a year ago .... “yes he sucked in the past, .... and yes NOBODY else was even remotely interested in hiring him BUT .... he didn’t totally suck in the (8 game) interim roll sooooo ‘we coming... coming for the middle tier of the SEC West!!”
