If Vols dont get King Jon, who do they get?

If Gruden and the rest of the dream tier (Stoops, Kelley) say no, who do Vols get?

Realistically, they could get Miles,Norvell, Schiano.

Yeah, a bit. The way this has played out so far, is just odd.
I think the Florida opening might hurt the UT search for at least some candidates, especially since UF is actually searching now, and UT is still in a holding pattern. I think that hurts, at least with the most sought after candidates such as Kelly.
I was kind of joking about Hoke, but I've seen more posts about Tee Martin. I haven't looked, is he even a HC?
Why not Les? He's a proven winner, and I think his style fits UT. I've mentioned before that I think Petrino could do well there as well. And he will be available for sure.

The issue would be Tennesee (currently) is not a step up from VT. It's at best a lateral move. So Tennessee would have to offer alotta money.
They might be able to convince him but it would take some serious money and wooing. I don't think it will happen

Easily. Not sure what vols fans are thinking, it's just been this mythical thing that's grown into something it's not. How good of a coach is he? Can he recruit? Does he fit in college where he has to manage the whole program?

Sumlin is getting the axe, so they will need to wait and see who UF and TAMU hire first. They will probably get someone in the Willie Taggart to Dan Mullen range.

Jump ship after his first season in Minnesota? Minnesota has also taken a step back this year under Fleck from where they were last year. Fleck's stock isn't nearly as valuable this year as it was last season.

I would absolutely love Les at Tennessee, or any major school. If Tennessee, he could even bring John Chavis back home. Would be interesting to see how well Les could recruit in a state like Tennessee that's talent poor.

You're correct Vols most likely wouldn't hire him. But, I put him on here because the possibility of Butch 2.0 could be tempting for some of the idiots in UT's athletic department
