How do you know he fricked up? No one knows anything at this point. You’re making yourself look stupid with the over the top emotional ramblings.

How do you know this to be true? Did I miss Woodward saying it was Riley or is it information gathered from "inside info"?

After last night's press conference, do you think Riley is still coming to LSU?

I saw Riley publicly do a 180 last night. Even if he was completely emotional, I just can't see him doing another 180 to come back to LSU

Maybe we could get Will Wade to coach the football team too

Kim Mulkey as defense coordinator.

Welp, if we lose out on Aranda and Napier and end up with Stoops, I might give up sports. If we end up with fricking Bill O'Brien, I might kill a man.

A 180 from what? He never said he was coming...did he? Just curious if we are dealing with facts or hear say

This is the guy that overpaid an overated coach in Jimbo Fisher which looks worse and worse with each passing day. Overpaying Jimbo Fisher and getting him to A&M is not some feather in your cap. It's a mistake unless you like 4 loss seasons.

I don’t want Jimbo and I really don’t care for his stubborn insistence on running an outdated offense, but I still think you are wrong here. Sumlin ran a terrible program that was masked by a small handful of players and they needed a complete overhaul. Based on what we saw from Sumlin at Arizona, he was about to take A&M over a cliff.

While Jimbo hasn’t been spectacular, he has made them better than they were. They have a strong defense, they play physical, and his recruiting has been a huge improvement. They have a real shot at the number one class this year. The records on the field are an issue, but it’s not like he’s done nothing over there.

Looking at back at what Woodward paid Jimbo and where the market is now, I really don’t see it as overpaying to get a guy from another P5 program. He has definitely made them into an SEC football program, rather than a B12 program trying to pass. The real problem is his unnecessarily long extension and big buyout were unjustified, but that wasn’t Woodward.

I don’t really disagree with the premise of your argument, but if we take what Riley said at face value, I doubt Woodward learned about it at the same time we did. In fact, it seemed from the beginning that Riley was given far too much rope to hold this search hostage without a commitment in writing.

It just wouldn’t make sense from the very beginning to get O out the way only to zero in and chase after a guy that will very likely have a team playing into December

I also don’t at all disagree with you that if we are in “bargain bin” territory that we better not be writing some fat arse guaranteed check to a lower tier coach just because it’s in the budget.

But I just don’t see how Woodward could have gotten played to the extent that he is back to the drawing board this morning, essentially eliminating whatever advantage we had starting our search in October. It may have happened, I’m not trying to give Woodward any more credit than I would give any decent negotiator in a powerful bargaining position.

Let's hope. Just hire the man. He's smart enough to know when he has to change. He reminds me of me. Bald, Filipino(?), has a folder. I could be his Derek.

Nope. We believed a bunch of professional catfishers and took their word as gospel.

Just because people put some name out there doesn't mean that they are or ever were legitimate candidates for the LSU position. Only evidence we ever had that Riley was legit was again, from the catfishers.
