With his son being a senior in HS, I think he absolutely takes the year off and watches his boy from the stands.

Spurrier and Miles together on a college football show would be outstanding.

BOS - Fires Joe Alleva
BOS - Moves Les Miles into AD position (not allowed to hire his replacement)
BOS - Hires Jimbo Fisher/Chip Kelley/etc.

1. Les is incredible with the media/fans/PR
2. AD is essentially a fundraiser position with the amount of assistants/associates in the department to handle day-to-day
3. Les is a great motivator, personnel manager.
4. Les has a finance degree, so he does understand money.
5. The most difficult job AD has is hiring coaches. Most programs essentially hire firms to do this now anyway.

He replaces Lee Corso as the colorful ex-coach on College GameDay. Get paid a million or two a year, traveling to college campuses every weekend in the fall. Not a bad gig at all.

If it were me I'd go to the damn house! Get stroked my 15 mill. Invest it , watch my son play football and enjoy going out as the winningest coach in LSU history! But that's just me.

I wonder if he would go to Missouri or Maryland?

I think he would be great for Mizzou. Realistically he has 5-6 years left, perfect amount of time to get Mizzou up to the next tier and then hire a good up and coming coach to continue the program.

He won't go anywhere. He will retire. He's not starting over IMO. It's TV time for him

I asked my buddy from work, who is a huge Okie St. fan, if they wanted him back.

He said "hell no!"

There is an article speculating that he would be a prospect at University of Colorado if it makes a coaching change. Miles better go easy on the grass if he ends up coaching there.

For some strange reason, I just can't picture Les as an ESPN announcer. On second thought, the ratings would probably soar as would the hiring of translation services. He will be able to do whatever he wants.

I don't think he'll ever coach again. He's a family man who will finally get to spend more time with them, watching them play sports.

Could you imagine the segments? He could sample stadium grass all across the nation.
