First of all I think LSU could be making an enormous mistake if they don't have someone lined up like Fisher..settling for a middle tier coach could really set this program back to where they were pre-Saban, and those 10 wins a year that Miles averaged will start to suddenly look awfully good.

That aside, what school will Miles bolt to if he is let go? I know he is a very stubborn coach but you have to like the guy.

Could take a year off to test the retirement waters.

More openings this year than almost anytime in recent memory. He'll land somewhere good.

Unless Jimbo is already in the bag, firing Miles is a huge gamble.

My friends of other SEC schools think a major program would hire him but I just don't see it.

He's our lovable idiot and I don't think that's what big time football programs are looking for. Also, I fear if he goes somewhere without a built in recruiting advantage, he's going to not do so well. He needs superior talent to succeed with this style of play.

God I love Miles, its a shame he couldn't maintain his success here. I really wish he'd just retire (and we pay him most of the buyout) and just stay in Baton Rouge as a local celebrity. I want to give that guy a statue or name the field after him.

It's NOT IF....If LSU kept him now there would more damaged than getting rid of him and getting Bozo the clown as a coach

Probably a year with ESPN and then getting back in the waters depending on openings.

LSU should find a PR spot for him. Classy guy who did a lot for the program. He could hang around BR like Dale Brown, Dietzel, Stovall, etc and get on the local book/speaking circuit.

If he coaches, he belongs in the big 10, but he wouldnt want any but michigan and thats not happening.

If he coaches next year, it will be at a Big 10 school.

If he coaches somewhere again, he won't have near the success he had here. Which is why I think we'll be fine without him.
