Literally every single interview with florida players before the lsu vs Florida game have the florida playing talking about how important that game is because lsu and florida are rivals. You might be too blind to see the rivalry but the players sure see it.

There are traditional rivals and there are competitive rivalries. LSU has competitive rivalries with Auburn and UF. It’s because of all the great games back and forth with crazy endings and so much riding on the line so often.
It’s different than a traditional rivalry, but the games mean a lot more than when we play State or USC, for instance.
