Can you guarantee which coach will do better at LSU? If so, then it absolutely doesn't matter how much you pay.

However, in reality, some hires simply don't work out no matter how good the hire looked on paper. Obviously the more guaranteed money you give a guy, the harder it is to correct the mistake of hiring the wrong guy.

I would be happy with either. But you need great QBs to win big and Riley is the best at getting them, preparing them, and putting them in the NFL.

Plus his attention to detail. The other stuff is just lagniappe, shouldn't be a factor in an AD's decision making (at a program like LSU at least)
