If Les ends up at Tenn

After this colossal shitshow, I just might pee myself laughing and I don't know why...
With that, I think he'd do great for them. He will sustain a high recruiting level and if he changes his offensive philosophy, they could probably do good things under with ole Leslie at the helm.

Be thankful for UT taking some of that buyout off our hands. Will free up some cash for when O is on the chopping block next year.

Les is really a great man and an excellent coach who if hired, can and will be bringing consistent top ten recruiting classes to Tennessee by his second year as head coach. He will run a clean program and I also believe he will win them an SEC Championship and get them into the playoffs by his fourth year. I really wish he would have gotten rid of Cameron, hired a better offensive coordinator and let them do their job without interfering while he was still at LSU. I hear a lot of people saying he was just to stubborn to change the offense but I believe he was just that loyal of a friend to Cameron and couldn't bring himself to fire him even if it meant losing his job. It really speaks a lot about his character and explains why LSU's players loved playing for him so much.

Les was a figment of his own imagination. Basically, he believed that he was bigger than LSU because of his overall win/ loss record. His demise began in the NCAA championship game where the team lost to Bama 21-0 and continued until he was fired early during the 2016 season because he failed to develop a modern day offense. He was as stubborn as an ox and LSU football has suffered because of him. To make matters worse King nixes the deal for Jimbo in 2015 and Alleva does the same thing relative to Fisher in 2016 because he wanted Herman who played LSU like a fiddle. So in mad rush he hired a Cajun who has decided he knows more than his very talented offensive coordinator. What a mess all because of Les !!!

Les would do a great job in Knoxville.

What an awful comparison

That mess you describe is not all because of Les. He had nothing to do with the ineptitude of the administration. He is only responsible for his own ineptitudes.

Would be a good hire for UT. He’d make them the second or third best team in the East. He’d lose to bama every year, split with Florida, take one of three from UGA but win the rest of his schedule every year.

Don’t sell yourself short, you’re on the list somewhere.

I agree. Tee Martin would be the OC and John Chavis would be the DC

Les at Tennessee won't happen. Even Fat Phil is not that stupid.

Les is a good man, at least from my interactions with him. I’ll never forget walking into the Outback in BTR and nearly crashing into him with my 3 yr old son in my arms...I was totally embarrassed and all I could say was “Sorry Coach!” Les just laughed and turned to my son and said...”hey bud! I bet you’ll make a great tight end at LSU one day!”, ironic I know given the history of Les not using TEs. My son is now 8 and he STILL remebers that interaction.
Les tried to do things the right way, but he valued loyalty over production. I can’t fault him necessarily for that. He had plateaued at LSU and it was time to move on. That being said, I think UT would be lucky to have him! (And I say that as an LSU fan and native Tennessean that was groomed to hate all things UT sports related)
