If it was between O and Kiffin for HC...

I think I would rather just have Kiffin. Better track record. What do y'all think? Kiffin as OC and O as HC is not an option in this scenario.

Honestly Kiffin is a more proven HC than O. So yes. Even if it's disgusting.

I agree and would absolutely take Kiffin over Coach O.
Lane is more proven head coach, and was succesful at tenn and usc. He had 1 really good season at usc despite recruiting sanctions and lost schollies from reggie bush debacle

After the Raiders, UT & USC firing at the airport I would never hire LK. He may be a well above average OC but he is not wired to be a HC with any reasonable expectation of longevity.

Kiffin is a failure as a head coach in college and pro football, a weasel who bailed on a program after one year, and an all around awful human being.

He left UT for his DREAM Job. He is a West coast guy. Can you really find fault in him for leaving for the job he had always dreamed of having? Would you have left to coach at LSU, like he did?

Actually, he did pretty well at UT. Why were they so mad when he left if he sucked? They thought he had them going in the right direction.
His time at USC was destined to fail, he did well his first-year but declined as the NCAA sanctioned kicked in, he still recruited very well with the limited numbers. No one would have won at USC during the time frame he was there.
The other stuff you mentioned had some Merritt but his time at Bama has been wonders for him and I fully expect him to be a superb Head Coach when that time comes.
He would do well at LSU. Much better than O, IMO and possibly better than Herman.
