LSU fans still don't understand that it doesn't matter who the OC is. They're running the offense Les Miles wants to run. You could have Josh McDaniels as the OC, and you would still get Les Miles' offense.

LSUs offense was completely different with JJ than it was with Lee playing QB. So which one is Les' offense?

It's all Les' offense. Of course it changes slightly when 1 QB has different tendencies than the other.

I am okay with the LSU offense when their is a legit pro style Qb like the first 8 games with lee. I hope Mett can bring that the entire season next season.

Our offense and playcalling was horrible last night because of the Bama D and the terrible play by Jefferson. We averaged 40+ and 400+ with JJ against lesser defenses and coaching including UGA. It had a lot more to do with the level of the Bama D,players and staff, and lack of trust at the qb position. If Mett or whoever shows any kind of football intelligence and moxie as qbs the offense will be much more like 2007 when Flynn was at LSU.

Monken's is much more similar to the Saints' offense which uses the spread formations for pass and run but also uses some traditional power sets with overloaded lines. It's pretty much the modern version of the "pro style" offense. Just hasn't been renamed yet. People just say spread because that's the hot word. NFL offenses use the pass to set up run these days instead of the traditional run to set up pass. Play action is effective in both versions. Basically it's the offense that most NFL teams run these days. Big 12 schools just adjusted to the NFL style before everyone else. Problem in the Big 12 is that the defenses are good enough to stop it yet. Texas is close but Oklahoma still thrashed them with it.
