...it's another lesson in patience. Just like with Malveto. There is a time and way to handle things, and your time is not Les' time. Les will not embarrass or endanger his staff's future opportunities, yet will make changes that need to be made. Or, I could be completely wrong.

This +1000. This guy has class written all over him. He will never throw any players or coaches under the bus. Will we have our ups and downs with Les along the way, yes we will. I will much prefer to have a coach like him then a expressionless(if this is a word) coach like Saban that seems to suck all the fun out of football.

You dont have to fire a coach to contact other coaches and gauge thier interest about a possible opening.

And the most reliable word is, that was exactly what was going on. Cash's point is, well, pointless.

Maybe for Les, they weren't potential OCs for LSU.

If I'm not mistaken, BP said a couple of weeks ago that he heard Miles was "looking" at other candidates for the OC position.

Whoever signed with other teams were probably never going to come here anyway.

Les had several informal interviews with OC candidates last year. Gary couldn't find another job so Les couldn't pull the trigger per Belowpar.

Guilbeau just stated on 690:

Crowton told to look for a new job

It's definite LSU will have a new OC next yr

GG doesn't see Billy O as being the guy

FWIW

ETA: GG says Miles def offered UM job. Between 4-5 Million a year, not as much as Harbaugh but WAS OFFERED (which us non-tards already knew)

No, not at all. Miles did not miss out on any potential OCs this time around. It's possible he did last year, but I really don't know.

And yet this is a lesson LSU fans never learn.

No one knows this for sure. Several schools have hired OC's in the past 2-3 weeks that could have been nice options for LSU.

Whether Les was interested in any of them. Who knows.

Doesn't matter. He knew what he was going to do. If those guys took jobs, then either they were not interested, or Miles did not want them. I really think you're not thinking this through.
