If Baylor won out, where would that put you on Aranda?

Looking at Baylor this year, they have beaten a couple ranked teams already. They still have a few tough games left. I would feel pretty good about a potential Aranda hiring if they were to win out. He’s not my first choice but I would have to have him pretty high up there. Would this scenario make people feel good about an Aranda hiring?

I think Aranda would be really good at LSU and his familiarity with the program should give him a leg up over other coaches with a resume like his.

Probably about where he is now. He is in the tier that I would be happy with but not be the home run many are hoping for.

I'd feel confident aranda would give us a well run and well coached team, but I'm not yet confident he could sustain it. How could anyone be confident in that?

If we miss on our first offers and we fall into that level then why not go with someone like Matt Campbell who's done just that for 3 teams?

If Carolina fires Brady, and Dave brings him back as OC.

Lets Ride.

Umm pretty high considering that would include a win over OU, possible Big 12 title and major bowl victory.

To win the Big 12 he likely has to beat OU twice. And a 1-loss big 12 champ might make the playoffs. If so, winning out would include a championship. If Aranda wins it all with Baylor, everyone will be on the Aranda train.

I want Aranda already. So, I hope he tears it up for the rest of the year.

Yeah I guess I should have clarified winning out in the regular season because your scenario is what winning out all the way would mean.

Even if he wins out the regular season and wins the Big 12, it's still questionable if a 1-loss Baylor team makes the playoffs. ...But it's possible.

It depends on how many undefeated p5 teams are still around at the end of the year. In a normal year, a 1 loss big12 conference champion would make it in.

The same as I do now. I think there are other guys we should go after first, but Dave should be one of the first calls after you don't get your other guys. I'd prefer him over Napier unlike most here. He has a clear advantage of already being here as a DC for a few years and is familiar with all the people in the program.
