You don’t hire a guy based on this mind set, though. Either you believe he’s qualified and would be a good fit, or you don’t. Getting a guy bc it might look bad if he’s successful somewhere else is a recipe for disaster. Personally, I think he could do well here again. I don’t buy into the new narrative all of the sudden that gives Ensminger all the credit for 2019. 2 weeks ago, plenty of people around here wanted his name in the hat for HC. Now all of the sudden he’s damaged goods bc the word fired is associated with his name? No, He’s still the same guy. I’m sure BK will do his DD on Brady. There are plenty of resources around lsu to fill him in on how Brady actually contributed in 2019. I’ll trust BK’s decision on whichever direction this goes.

Would love Brady on LSU offensive staff, but he is not experienced enough for coordinator. After a few more years he will be ready for OC at a small school.

How the dummies on this board look at the only year Brady was here and not see a stark contrast in offensive efficiency and production compared to the Ensminger only years..
I’m totally baffled. I do not get it. We watched the guy work miracles with our offense. Greatest football team in the history of the sport, and Brady get’s hated cause O hired him/young/left for NFL/didn’t get any recruits in his one year here.
If the dude wants to come back here as OC i’m doing cartwheels. Hire that mf’r back here before Saban hires him. And The gumps WILL try to hire him I promise. Just to keep him out of our hands.

I believe the context of 1 year of 2018 experience and chemistry-building of the talents and combination of Burrow / Chase / Jefferson / Edwards-Helaire / O-line was the secret sauce that drove 2019 success, of which Brady was a key factor, but Brady was not THE factor.
Case in point, look at the individuals in the NFL, without Brady. Cause / effect of 2019 manifesting via the historical NFL performance success of talents of Jefferson, Chase and damn strong O-line performances in the NFL, etc.
Hire the best OC out there. I don't think Brady is the best OC out there.
