Good coaches but I don't think we can get:
Patterson - TCU is a sweet position. Why come here?
Peterson - too much sin . Also, why come here?
Petrino - just built Ark into contender
All the NFL suggestions Dungy, Cowher, Gruden - no way
Harbaugh - I'd say Michigan or NFL - that's it

I agree with all of the above. No way we get any of them.

Mullen - more incest within the SEC
Perhaps. I could see it.

Leach (HC only) - FWIW - I think Leach is going to be the next Saban.
Perhaps if Miami doesnt lock him up first.

Malzahn (HC only)
I would want the coach to have a little more experience than this. He has had one great year but without Cam, I doubt he would have.

Muschamp ? not totally sold on him but it would be a great opportunity for him
He is the head coach in waiting at Texas. He isnt coming here.

based on LSU's track record with planning and foresight, I'm guessing nothing has been done so far.

If Les leaves they will hire a search firm to guage feelers for interest which will take a week.

MI will can RR the first week in Jan. Les takes the job a few days later. LSU is left without a coach in place mid January and signing day is February 2nd. We will be screwed.

If Miami gets Leach to go with all the talent they have in their backyard: look out. They'll be back on top in 3 or 4 years.

ya'll are all crazy - nobody is going anywhere. after a 10-2 season, we will even be keeping crowton .

what reason could les give for firing him? "uhhhhh - well........ after all, we WERE 10-2".

Les Miles isnt going anywhere, not even Michigan, the guy loves Baton Rouge and is a Coordinator and QB away from a damn national title....

he is a CEO type coach that is a good family man and recruits well, he needs top tier assistants...

get that, we'll be fine...

Now would i trade Miles for Harbaugh or Patterson....in a heartbeat...Esp Harbaugh, Hell, even Mullen...

Harbaugh
Mullen
Patterson

What would you honestly know about that? Alleva had a pretty nice plan to get a guy like TJ for our basketball program. Even before that lists float around the office long before any moves are made.

i understand & agree. half the time, i'm saying "open the playbook". they run the same plays all game long. but, still.........10-2! it won't justify giving crowton the boot as much as most would like! thus, a mediocre - at best- offense - will not change next year....

but hey! false hope is still hope......

If Alleva has a brain, he will be prepared
3rd in your own division of your own conference every year is certainly ELITE

Considering that the SEC West is generally considered as the Murderer's Row of college football and except for Cheaters U, LSU is tied with Bama and Arky, I'm okay with it.

As much as I've wanted to stab Miles over the last couple of years, I've grown to like the man. We just need a change at OC. He is one hell of a recruiter!

My preference would be to keep Miles - but I would understand if he wanted to go to his Alma mater and out of the hell that is Baton Rouge.

it kinda' falls off after that.

Be careful of what you wish for.

Dude, you have not SEEN the meltdown on the boards by the Gruden-Patterson fetishists when, when Miles leaves, we end up with Mike Gundy or Houston Nutt.

Exactly!

Mack Brown, CUM and Little Nicky wish they could have been mediocre like we were this year.

Thankfully you are not involved in the decision making process, as you continue to show how blinded you are by your hate for Les, and/or how completely clueless you are.

If those three teams and one or two from the east divison rotate going to the BCS title game, I would think that is pretty Elite. This is just me.
