Why is he a flake?
This season, if his QB doesn’t go down in the Iowa game, he’s the #2 team in the country. He also has the #2 ranked recruiting class in BFE Pennsylvania.
He also took over a program that was just floating in no mans land after a terrible situation….

You'd take the ULL coach, whose biggest career win is the Lending Tree Bowl, over a coach with multiple 11 win seasons at a P5 school, a Big Ten title, multiple NY6 Bowl wins, and multiple top 10 recruiting classes?

I think James Franklin is a good coach. I’m not sure he will ever be a great coach.

I'd take Franklin over just about any semi realistic name being thrown around. I don't think Riley is realistic and I think even Franklin is a long shot.

He only won 24 games and went to 3 straight bowl games at VANDERBILT. The only coach in their 131 year history to do so.

Imagine what he could do being able to recruit Louisiana and Texas on top of already knowing the SEC recruiting area.

Napier should be a desperation hire for LSU. Choosing him over James Franklin should be a fireable offense.

Let’s all thank the good lord you’re not writing the checks and making the decisions . Dude won 9 games in one season at Vandy. He had 11 sec wins in 3 seasons. To put that in perspective Derek Mason had 10 in 6 seasons.
Winning 9 games in a season at Vandy is almost like winning a natty.
