Considering where we were, if we land Herman or Fisher... that could be lights out for our program for years to come. Talented minds in very productive packages.

Say we don't land either one of these two and LSU offers Orgeron the job (after Herman and Fisher turns it down), I still think we are good. He lets his coaches coach, players love him and I think he has learned and has evolved as a coach. He isn't my first choice, just saying that if LSU does keep as the result of herman or fisher turning it down, we are still better off with him than we were with Miles. I would rather Herman or Fisher, but i really think that if Orgeron gets it, he will do everything in his power to not screw it up because we wants it.

Coaching 8 games as an interim and running a program from top to bottom including game planning, and game day coaching on top of all that 365, 24/7 being in charge are much different. Look at his (Ed O) resume when he was running the program.

I actually agree with this. Although there a few more names that would need to turn down the job before i'd hand it over to O.

I've never been an advocate for O because there are just too many other coaches that could do much more with all the talent around here than he could. I'd rather not have the program become a spring board for coordinators. But there are worse things that could happen than having him as the HC. Still don't want it to happen though

I want to say you're a troll, but I've seen some interesting posts today from legit LSU fans. I really can't tell.

Nah. It's Jimbo/Herman or bust. Unless we make Aranda HC if they say no

How is he being mentioned when he is a bigger unknown than O?

How good is he at recruiting?
Does he know the state at all?
Hell does he know any of our recruiting grounds?
Can he manage an elite program?

I just don't get how anyone can suggest he be considered over O

Honestly? I would rather him than O. He's a defensive mastermind. We can at least be sure we have that. He also doesn't have the terrible Ole Miss experience on his resume. I say, if people are considering giving O an elite OC, why not try that with Aranda? Keep the big recruiters on staff, get him an OC, and lets try it. For me, what Aranda does on defense is harder to replace than what O does in recruiting. Just my opinion.

And people can't understand why people would consider O. Everyone has an opinion.
