If I recall he came back and coached the D for the 2007 NC game after he was hired by Nebraska or did I make that up?

He didn't "come back". He didn't leave before the NC like some speculated he would.

You are remembering correctly.

Bo would be a home run hire.

He did... Against his Alma Mater....

I am fine with the hire of Bo.

He would be the anti-Dave Aranda. You never heard from Aranda. Never stirred up controversy, never apologizing for language.

Bo would be a walking, talking time bomb that eventually blows up at someone at the wrong time. The team doesn't need that. It's Coach O's team and Bo would cause friction.

Did he have issues at LSU or Youngstown St or was it just at Nebraska? I seriously don't know. I thought part of the reason for the Youngstown move was family and to essentially get his personal issues in order.

That being said, some of the issues were overblown. Him criticizing fans for leaving a game that they came back and won probably drew support from a lot of the fan base like Saban openly criticizing Bama fans for not staying. O took heat for RTWFY, but it died down because our admin didn't make a big deal about it.

If he achieved Saban level success most of his antics would have been forgiven, like Saban stepping over a convulsing player on the way to his office.

Much different if you're the head coach (and successful). If you're an assistant making waves, that causes issues.

I’m not sure why you capitalized both letters, but I spent five seconds trying to figure out what the hell Barack Obama has to do with anything.

to my knowledge that never happened when he was an assistant.

I sat at the table next to him and his brother at Pat Os piano bar for a few hours after that game and he was TURNT.

Bought shots for everyone around him and stood on the table singing.

I for one was super disappointed when Bo left. He was a great DC for us. Not sure if he's adapted for modern offenses or not, but while here, he was coaching up a great defense. Not the worst hire we could make by a long shot.
