From the way this is all playing out.

Kiffin to O: "If I don't have a HC job by Jan 1st, I'll be your OC."

Just my two cents, bash away.

Kiffin does seem like the type of friend that would string another friend along

Kiffin already interviewed for Houston opening and supposedly is now a candidate for the South Florida opening. Not looking good for Coach O and LSU to get Kiffin

Well, except that everywhere Kiffin has been as a HC he's been a complete dumpster fire.

Kifphin has learned from his mistakes like his dear friend O and is ready to be a hc again per the supreme commander Sabin.

In O and Alleva we trust ... a dumpster fire.

That doesn't bode well for us if this is the way O runs the team.

You have to work with what's in front of you. Your #1 choice can't be some hypothetical situation. Go out there and interview the best available option right now.

Not to bama fans posting here. Evidently he's playing LSU and has no interest in coming here. What gain there would be to do that for him and to one his of best friends no less, is beyond me, especially since he's leaving bama on less than good terms with saban. But I'm sure they're right... He loves bama and hates Orgeron. It's all well documented lmao. Tim Brando and every other media outlet say otherwise but that's all bc they're jealous of bama bc nobody would want to leave there

NFL, Southern Cal, Tennessee, bama: IMO, Kiffin doesn't have a track record of coaching at small venues. I can't see him going to USF or Houston. He likes coaching where the talent level is high.

Guys, Kiffin has no interest in moving to LSU as OC. I don't know why yall cant see that. If he wanted to be there he'd be there. It is actually his last, last, last resort. The ONLY reason LSU wants him is to get some kind of "victory" over Bama when we don't care if he stays or not.

This little escapade is what seperates LSU from Bama. We couldn't care less and you are believing he is the end all be all when he really doesn't want to come there.....but hey we got Kiffin from Alabama. you have no idea what a joke you are up here.

ok, he wants a place to land and keep getting a paycheck. LSU is being used by him.

I say, if a great candidate becomes available and wants to be here, hire him. frick kiffin.

holding off on a search as a favor to another coach is bull shite. kiffin would leave lsu in a heartbeat if someone else comes a knockin'

I get they are friends but I wouldn't trust Lane Kiffin as far as I could throw him.

I think we can all agree that O sold the administration on being able to land LK. If he doesn't land him, his credibility takes an enormous hit right off the bat.

I don't know why in his position Orgeron would take this type of chance. This is business and I don't know that he fully realizes it. Lane's going about this like it's business, O's going about it like it's a friendship thing.

You're going to get downvoted but I honestly don't disagree with any of this, if we're correct in our assessment of what's going on here. It is a joke to leave such an important hire up to a friend doing you a favor or whatever. Lane's doing what's best for Lane. Orgeron needs to do the same.
