If it was Saban any chance he would show interest just to screw with us and leave us last second scrambling for a coach super late?

Saban might consider rebuilding the franchise and Napier could be about him coming into the OC position, HC in waiting.

I too have convinced myself it’s Saban.
He’s the only white whale imo, not Riley or Franklin

I agree

And you make more sense than any other poster on this board.

He can coach here 5 or more years and cruise in to a few more National Championships

No other coach in history or ever will match that record.

And won’t have to put up with those InsecureU fans that lose their minds

If he loses one game.

Just like Texas Saban would never come back to LSU for one reason… the culture. Alabama is the one place Saban’s method can work and everyone is crazy enough about football to buy in. LSU’s culture is way too pussy now.

I’m not opposed to this. This would be the only “mythical” hire IMO. Plus there’s way too much chatter about everyone else who is not Saban.

You think he needs retirement checks from the state?

It's not need. But a persona like Saban doesn't leave anything on the table. That is what separates him from Miles and Orgeron. Once they got their taste, they were done.

1) if/when he said it wasn’t in question. Bama not being elite was in question

2) his quote proved my point. Trying to wake his players up.

Well they usually do. And again, outside of nick saying that as motivation, when has a bama team not been elite? They lose 1 game a year tops foe the last decade. They are elite even when they are young.
