Buyouts too high for bo.

not like it isn't negotiable though., Sure Pelini can hold firm but I am sure negotiations usually take place in instances like this

Of course Bo comes back. This years team results were perfect to help set up the rebuilding for another championship run in 2021.

I would be shocked if Bo is back next year. He is done.

Not a chance

Pass D - 127th (331 yds/game)LAST in NCAA
Total D - 121st (484 yds/game)

Points Per Drive LSU (2.49)

From SoG on SECr

DEFENSE - POINTS PER DRIVE ALLOWED
1. Alabama (1.49)
2. Texas A&M (1.74)
3. Georgia (1.76)
4. Florida (2.01)
5. Mississippi State (2.12)
6. Kentucky (2.24)
7. Auburn (2.27)
8. Tennessee (2.33)
9. LSU (2.49)
10. Arkansas (2.63)
11. Missouri (2.89)
12. South Carolina (3.11)
13. Ole Miss (3.36)
14. Vanderbilt (3.43)

Bo is GONE!!!!

and for all you defending Bo with the FLA win...They gave up 34pts, 609 yards and got every freakin break possible. Enjoy the win, but enjoy it in a vacuum..there needs to be and will be Wholesale changes after this weekend!

Oh and just a lil informational Nugget on Bo....if you took Nebraska's 25 worst Defensive performances in their HISTORY, Bo owns 13 of them!

if Bo comes back then Ed just wants his buyout and to be done with coaching. multiple 600 yard games, worst beating ever by bama, easily the worst LSU defense in its history. if you chose to keep that its game over.

I also disagree based on the smoke of Ika and Brooks returning. why would either of them want to return if they thought bo was going to be back?

Nothing, the people that think LSU is broke is laughable and they don't seem to have an understanding of how buy outs and contracts work. LSU isn't paying shite

The only way Bo comes back is if O wants him back. Scotty isn't a retard like Alleva that is going to purposely hamstring O to have him fail. Which is what he would be doing if he said no to firing Bo and getting a replacement. I'm not sure why some posters want this so bad, Joe did it with miles not letting him get Aranda and making him get Steele only to botch the firing and have him get Aranda the next offseason. we basically wasted away a season because of it.

A smart AD lets the coach fire his staff and hire a new one, or he just fires the head coach.

So Bo is only back if O wants him back, and that should be unlikely since bo coming back and sucking means O is fired.

Not so sure, He put Matt Canada's arse back on the street after one season.

I think so too. With so many players leaving, opting out, and not to mention Covid, Pelini will get another chance next year.

this ^^^^^^

plus the pat excuse he hasnt had a chance to recruit the players to fit his system

he will be back next year and i think he may even get a 3rd year too as long as the defense is at least average and showing improvement

Bo Pelini has a Big 12 defense.

Bo is a deadman walking. Saturday doesn’t change the move. Buyout is already agreed too.

How was the improvement throughout this year?

he doesn't get a third year. If we aren't competing for the west next year O is gone after a losing/.500 season this year.

all of the excuses would be fine if we were say 40th or 50th in the country. We are near dead last, this is literally the worst Defense LSU has ever fielded in its entire history. You don't get to come back or use excuses for that.

If you have learned anything about O at LSU is that he is essentially a Pontius Pilate type of ruler. If he feels his seat of power is threated, he'll give the masses what they want even if personally he may feel differently.

The masses want a new DC (more importantly, so do the players). O is going to give it to them...even if it means he has to admit he made a terrible mistake in hiring Bo. He's not willing to have his head cut off to save Bo.

LSU's recruiting pitch to both prospective new players AND their current players is that this season was a blip and they are making the necessary adjustments to build up a championship team again. That doesn't gain much traction if you keep, perhaps, the person considered to be most at fault for this season.

I think this is actually a good point for O. while stubborn, if the heat is on him he can fix things. Les was stubborn and would ignore the heat.

Now if he keeps BO then its clear Ed O is ready to settle down in the bayou and just enjoy winning a title.

Scotty is THE retard who has made making a change so onerous in the first place. HE'S the one that agreed to the unbelievably stupid contract.

A smart AD

Based on the above I have my concerns as to if Scotty fits into the is category. Does a smart AD GROSSLY and UNECESSARILY pay well over market value for a coach who had no demand whatsoever to justify that contract?

Firing Pelini requires picking up the pile of shite BOTH O and Woodward put in the way for LSU football to step in.
