UF really did hire the coach most likely to actually wear jean shorts
All he needs is a mullet

IMO its two completely different types of hires. UF needed a program builder to catch up to Georgia (biggest divisional rival) in terms of recruiting and talent that Mullen failed to do. Recruiting is their biggest priority. Napier is a good hire who should be able to do that.
LSU on the other hand already has the recruiting and talent boxes checked, they just needed a big X's and O's guy... aka Brian Kelly.
Both programs got their guy IMO.

Napier had a built in clause that UF had to foot the bill for his weekly haircut trip to New Iberia

I was really high on Napier but I think he’s still a few years away. He did an unbelievable job at ULL but the sun belt to the SEC, especially a premier SEC school, is a huge jump. I think he should’ve went to a good mid major before making the jump to the SEC
Spurrier came from Duke and Urban came from Utah. Napier fits the pedigree of FU's best coaches.

Bingo...We hired a somewhat unproven 40 year old wunderkind, who is going to recruit like a demon and rebuild the program from the ground up with culture...Y'all hired a 60 year old EXTREMELY proven head coach to be competent and refine what's already there and not broken...It's apples and oranges.

I'll admit I was a huge Napier pusher, but I'm glad we got BK. I honestly wonder how well he'll do there. Supposedly it's toxic af behind the curtains at that place.
Hud allowed behavior to get pretty toxic at UL before Napier arrived. I know, it is still different from Sunbelt to SEC, but while Hud did win bowl games, in my opinion he left that locker room and overall culture within the football program worse than what Bustle left it for him.
I hope Napier is wildly successful in helping bring structure and stability to Florida. I’ll be pulling for the guy after all he did for our program.
At the same time, I think Brian Kelly was a heck of a get for LSU. Orgeron with his antics over the past year and a half has left all that talent to squander undisciplined. Kelly should be able to restore the structure those young, talented athletes need.

a lot to break down in the first pic

I like how Florida made the lightning quick hire and grabbed Napier (after not even interviewing anyone else), and people were like "oh LSU missed out. Florida did great."
Then USC grabs Riley and people are like "burn the city down! LSU failed to get their guy!"
Then LSU goes and does what nobody in history has ever done and convinces a sitting HC at ND to leave the school ... not just any HC, the winningest one in their storied history, and the media just melts down.
Honestly, the UF hired looked good until the next day with USC. That one looked good until LSU no-scope 360'ed everyone with the best pull from one P5 to another P5 in history.

I have been saying this from Day 1. Go to Vandy, Miss St or somewhere like that. And the bull shite USCe and AU turning down positions likely were just that. We know USCe was very close to hiring Kirby until at the 11th hour, UGA jumped in.

Will be interesting to see where both programs are in 3 to 4 years. Maybe Napier can beat Kirby back down and bring in the talent. I still don’t buy Kirby as a top HC, he just amasses talent and caught the sec in a down year. We’ll see if he can blow out Saban Sat.

Time will tell but in the mean time go block your own teammate

Napier was the better option

Lol remember all the way back to yesterday when everyone was praising UF for getting their guy. Bahahaha
I remember all the way back a couple of weeks when the LSU plane was spotted in South Bend and all the corndogs blew it off as a bad hire.
