BJ flirted with leaving last year. He’s got great potential, but frick him. Not seriously. I wish him success, but I trust Kelly. If he’s not on board for a real coach, frick him.

You said Lincoln Riley was signed sealed and delivered. I refinanced my house for everything I could get and bet it all on him as next LSU coach. He took the Oklahoma job. You lied. I lost everything. I hate you.

Not if Corey walks. He could go anywhere he wanted with a phone call.

And there’s no reason to think he is going to do so. Try not to go full blown catastrophe syndrome over every thought that pops into your head.

I think the smart ones will see that this is positive and will stay. That’s not to say, those transferring are not smart. Each player’s situation is different. Kelly will develop them better and build a better team overall.

He wants talent with character and a team spirit. We may lose some 4* and 5* self-centered players and will be better for it. Look at how this team played with all the backups who were playing for the team, not themselves.

If this is what it takes to change the culture, I’m all for it. The last several years with players quitting or leaving early was frustrating. You can’t build a program with that kind of attrition. The signs were there last year and again this year when certain players were out.

So far, looks like Kelly is laying down the law on expectations. This may take a couple of years, but the future is exciting.

Anybody think he has shut the door on deronte Jones or you think he is giving him consideration? Looking at the defensive stats we went from like 75th ranked in rushing defense with starters to 6th ranked with third stringers after he unleashed his fury the last 4 games... to be honest he put more pressure on quarterbacks than I recall aranda putting in those last 4 games... I just think he deserves at least an interview

Transfers go both ways

EXACTLY. I look forward to seeing how Frank Wilson leverages the TP. It was not available when he was previously at LSU. I expect us to be active at OL, and every level of the DEF - DL/LB/DB.

With the departure of MJ, and two very young QB's (Nuss/Howard) likely in 22, it makes me wonder if we'll kick the tires on an impactful upperclassman QB with 1 yr left. Does make you wonder if MB made his decision a little early, but we really don't know what conversations did take place and what type of OFF CBK will run. I'm sure the coming days will make it clearer.

I get that. He committed to being a OLB in Aranda’s 3-4. And while not OLBs, Aranda had a nice run of high pick LBs in Kwon, White, Riley, Jones, Queen, Phillips, Chaisson, etc…And BJ came in too light to be an every down 4-3 DE, so probably didn’t play quite as much as a freshman as he was expecting. And/or wasn’t put in the best position to make plays last year under Pelini.

So it was no wonder he thought about transferring—I actually just assumed he was going to Georgia anyway and wouldn’t have blamed him. Commit to and sign with the reigning National Champions and wind up out of position on literally the worst defense in LSU history, playing for an a-hole like Pelini.

I’m assuming he and O had a really good relationship, and O was able to talk him into staying. Now that O is gone and he’s not sure 1) who the DC is gonna be, 2) what kind of defense he’s gonna run, and 3) who his position coach is going to be, again, it’s not surprising he’s weighing options. And as talented as he is, I’m sure he’s being promised a starting job at a more stable program where he’ll be developed into a 1st round pick.

That said, I really hope he waits around to see who the new DC is and the vision he has for him in the defense next year. The right guy could certainly develop him into a 1st rounder. I just hope he—and everyone else—stays patient. But, the sped up timing of everything is gonna put a lot of guys into positions where they may have to make rushed decisions.

I really don't think he will hire anyone sight unseen. We haven't seen this much attention to detail and "alignment" since Saban.

All that optimism because the head coach is sitting down to interview candidates to possibly hire?

Lol, Orgeron broke some of y'all.
