i see this game as closure and that's probably a good thing

if we has won and beat the aggies, then NOT hired coach O there would be a large fan contingency extremely angry. and coach O would probably have been really angry also and left the program. it would not have played well in the national media or with former players and others.

conversely, if he had won out and WAS hired there still would have been a large fan contingency very angry.

perhaps now, the "warring" factions will calm down and LSU can go about the business of finding a new coach. at this point, I think coach O would have to understand that a 4-2 record with two conference lossed isn't going to hack it. he may be crestfallen, but not angry. maybe he will stay with the program (if allowed by the new HC).

but CLEARLY, the fact remains that we fired Miles and this program is seeking a new direction. one with more upside on the offense.
