How can there be a "culturally relevant" approach to math? That just sounds like academic gibberish or malfeasance if you prefer. Academia is full of nonsense. Can only "whites" be racists? Maybe he could pen a monograph on that as well.

jury still out on Tate...there are certainly some controversial ideas that he once espoused...and may still push...I haven't followed close enough.

I recently hopped back into LSU & graduated before Tate was on board — two things I noticed:
1. All of our law professors are conservative AF
2. Everyone else is liberal AF, and so are the textbooks

If people are concerned about curriculum, Idk how much of a difference he actually makes.

As far as athletics, I think we can close the book & say he’s going to be supportive at this point.

That’s my take. Thanks for chiming in!

If it does come back, he certainly won't be the only one.

Ah, yes, the old you don't agree with me so I'll make it a race issues despite nobody ever even mentioning this. Or is it you just block out what people complain about Tate and try to turn it into a race issue? It has nothing to do with his ideals and actions right?

So that would make it ok, then. Right?

Maybe its just my degenerate South Louisiana genetics kicking, but whenever I see this term, my first thought is "a-hole"

Tate can be congratulated on staying out Woodward's way, I guess. He seems to be on the right track when it comes to the renaming of campus buildings. A quick search of his twitter shows that he is on the path to embracing Louisiana culture.

But were not even a full year in with this guy. Let's give it a bit more before we crown him as best president ever (that title goes to Mark Emmert by the way)

Why are the woke some of the most racist among us?

LSU didnt end up with a black coach, so Tate is doing a good job according to you? You dont know Tates involvement in any of this. SW may have waited out Tucker and Franklins extension because of Tate? But you want to give Tate all the credit

Weird leap of logic. Point was the massive melt over something that didn’t & was never going to happen.
