It's $150k per year for the 20 year contract but if the contract is renegotiated, the 1% goes up. Saban will be long retired towards the end. Would be nice to keep receiving a check from the Longhorn Network of $150k +

Jesus, some of the LSU reactions to this thread are downright embarrassing. I want the Bama meltdown and Saban to Texas too but I mean get a grip. This thread actually got me to laugh at least.

Funny how Chip Brown was just on the Roundtable here in B'ham and said Saban doesn't have a blank check, as many UT and other fans have stated and he feels like the ceiling is $7 mil per year. Well within UA's pocketbook.
So, by the way Texas has handled one of their most successful coaches and the ending of his tenure, why would Saban want to step into that quagmire when he can get the same money from Bama?

The state of the program, our inept offense, poor in game coaching, and a coach that looks like he doesn't care on the bench. It really is time for him to go, I do hope we hold onto the current recruits though, it's a great class.
