Either way, LSU will always be LSU and I dont care who comes in to coach.

Hey now. DiNardo got things back on track. He brought in some major talent (Kevin Faulk, Booger, Rohan Davey, Bradie James, Trev Faulk, etc.) but he wouldn't get rid of his DC who sucked balls.

Les Miles is in his sixth season at LSU and has a 61-17 record, which includes a national championship.

Yeah, no way we could do worse & heaven knows how easy it would be to improve on that 6 year record in the SEC. Some people just do not have a clue OR they haven't been around college or LSU football long enough to know what failure REALLY is.

LSU is in the Top 10 for BCS programs in winning percentage over the last 2 seasons.

For the last 6 seasons, LSU is in the Top 5 for BCS programs in winning percentage.

I'll take results over looks any day of the week and any sane/rational administrator would as well. imo

As to Gruden, I would give the guy a shot if LSU had an opening and no current high performing college coach could be lured, but that SB ring he won in his 1st season with TB has lost some luster after never getting past a wild card game in his next 6 years.

Gruden is the new John Madden.

Why on earth would you ever give up that gig?

You have a national audience listening to your thoughts about football every week.

Your reputation as a coach will increase as your audience grows... and you do it WITHOUT the risk of coaching!

And you get paid millions, just like if you were coaching!

WITHOUT coaching!

Isn't it great? I wouldn't leave that fricking job. EVER.

Here at LSU, he'll be fine if he just wins the SEC West in the next three years.

wtf

So you think 1 SECW "crown" in 6 years would be fine?

I knew all of you Miles lovers secretly hated LSU.

I wasn't being sarcastic, but, I could be wrong about my prediction.

How can anyone accurately predict the patience of the LSU fanbase? Sometimes it seems very patient to me. Michigan will be expecting Les to win the Big Ten within three years.

Booing the team and Miles after 6 games and still undefeated = lack of patience imo.

I think it's possible, but highly unlikely with their current talent. Miles will have to find a top notch DC.

Yep, I hate LSU.

You nailed me.

2 West titles in 6 seasons is as good as any school in the West as is 1 NC as good as any school in the West as is 61 wins better than any school in the West as is 5 NR teams better than any school in the West as is 4 10 win seasons better than any school in the west as is 2 BCS bowl wins better than as school in the SEC West.

You will have to excuse me if I'm not concerned over being the best the SEC West has to offer record wise since 2005, but each to our own.

...Gruden has said EMPHATICALLY many many times he is NOT in any way , repeat, NOT - interested in coaching in the college ranks.
He is really digging the TV thing as NFL announcer/color analyst. And he is probably the best out there at it right now. No stress, big money, star personality perks. He ain't going back to college.

Stop dreaming.
