and this - by far - is the most nerve-racking one.

No way this beats the Joe Alleva one where professionals were announcing we actually landed coaches that we didn’t. The Riley thing so far seems like it’s been message boards calling their shot.
There seemed to be so many leaks in the athletic department back then.

The Dinardo hire was pretty crazy. The most unpopular selection as LSU HC to date. WE hated that guy. Buddy D played Taps during his show that Friday night.
Zero's hire in 2016 was bad too. I was so pissed Texas got in between us an Herman.

The one that ended with Dinardo being hired was the most nerve racking to me. It dragged on and on when Sullivan backed out on us. I recall every one being uptight as the LHSAA playoffs were about to start at the Dome and LSU did not yet have a HC in place to have a presence there. That and his last game at Vandy was a 68 point loss to Tennessee.

Fans want coaches hired on a timeline that they want, not one that makes sense for the program.
Woody took his time on Johnson and hired quickly on Kramer's mom (but she actively wanted the job).
