Tenuta wants to be a head coach somewhere. If we hire him we'll habe to deal with whether or not we are gonna need a new DC.

Yeah lets hire a DC nobody wants. That will be great.

I would think all coordinators would want to be a head coach someday. Why pass up an opportunity for a good coach because of that?

Can you show me a DC who is any good that you would want who doesn't aspire to be a HC someday? There are darn few if any, and probably most of those tried the HC job and failed, and now realize that being an HC is not for them.

The only coordinators that stay somewhere for a long time usually aren't very good.

LSU is the type of program that can take proven coordinators who are good enough to leave for smaller programs but want to get their feet wet with the big boys. Coordinator turnover is to be expected in a well oiled machine.

Didn't he go after the Ga Tech job?

It was more of a courtesy interview. GT speculation has always held that he wasn't interested in HC gigs.

Paul Johnson of Navy took the position, so Tenuta is available.

This exactly what you do want.

You assistants that aspire to be HC's, that way you get guy's that are working hard to do their best.

Who cares if you only have him for one or two years? Defense isn't rocket science, he woudl immediately up the pace of our defensive pressure both at the line and on the edges. I love him.

I've read somewhere he doesn't interview well, not a great public speaker and hates the media and that may cost him a head coaching shot..

But it sounds like him and Les were seperated at birth.

Here's a Tenuta interview

Do you have a point or do you just point out obvious facts?

If he didn't want it, who was the courtesy for? GT just had to interview him to be courteous to themselves? Wow, that makes sense
