Dude you lost me at this stupid statement!
I don't know. I've noticed some overlap.

wait, who has said they hated orgeron?
i'm against Orgeron getting the job, but that doesn't mean I hate the dude.
This. It's a straw man argument.

Was at a bar Sat night, what did the announcers say about O?
Thanks...
Thanks...

1. They all thought he would shite the bed after Bama, and are scared to death he's about to be the HC.
You underestimate how shitty Arkansas' rush defense is.
quote:
2. They'd rather have someone who is leading his team down the polls (Fisher, Herman) instead of a coach that brought his team from unranked to soon to be top 10 and in the Sugar Bowl.
This is undoubtely the most retarded shite I've seen posted on this site in months and that is accomplishment. I can play this game, too: You rather a coach than went 3-25 in conference at his last gig than a National Championship winning coach.
quote:
3. He did it with Fred Flintstone's team.
I don't even understand what this means. This team was stockpiled with talent. Are you telling me O is such an amazing coach that if Dan Mullen was fired 4 games into their season, Orgreon would have that 3 and 2-star studded roster on the brink of a top 10 ranking and a Sugar Bowl?
quote:
4. His staff is making him look good.
Well, yeah. You honestly think we're in this same position without Aranda? Are you saying O is an X's and O's guy? When we lose with O at the helm, is it going to be his coaches' fault, but we win, it's because Yaw Yaw?

O fans are very nearsighted. They don't see the long term plan

Hopefully that doesn't happen. If it does, Aranda will not be retained
I guess I'm misunderstanding your post. Are you saying that if coach O is named head coach aranda will be fired.
If so you are retarded.

quote:Not at all. LSU is stacked with talent. People want to argue that this talent is because of CLM and that we'll go in the gutter if Coach O is chosen. Is he not one of the reasons we have some of this talent??
Are you telling me O is such an amazing coach that if Dan Mullen was fired 4 games into their season, Orgreon would have that 3 and 2-star studded roster on the brink of a top 10 ranking and a Sugar Bowl?
And doesn't it look like, unlike our previous coach, that talent is being used a little differently now? Sure seems like it.
quote:Wasn't implying that at all. We might have beat Bama if O had done what he said he would and used Guice more.
When we lose with O at the helm, is it going to be his coaches' fault, but we win, it's because Yaw Yaw?
Keep the staff in tact, with Aranda as Assistant HC. Hire a young OC that can inject some creativity to further use the talent.
I'm not for or against O. Just seems like too many hate on him. We're not getting a Saban type coach in here - there aren't any. No one is perfect, but CEO has done a damn good job.

I agree a lot of coaches could probably do better than Miles had done of late.
I am not sure there are many that could have done a Better job than CEO has done.
If LSU wins out, especially in the impressive manner they have been winning games I bet they keep CEO and I would be excited about it.

He beat a team by playing Les ball. Sorry I don't think he needs a gatorade bath.

So you rather a guy who MAY have evolved given the keys to the program than a guy who's 3 years removed from a national title.

Not at all.
I concur. Curious, how many big time programs are at O's door begging him to be the face of their program at the end of the season?

That he has. As an interim coach taking over a team with low morale. We are in a unique situation. We are not going to be in this position every year.

Don't lump people together to satisfy agendas please! I supported Miles up until November 2015 when Jimbo became an option. I thank him for the good he did for our program but recognized the game had passed him. Understood both sides of the argument of letting Miles geaux or giving him one more chance.
After this first four games it was abundantly clear he was fired at the right time to give LSU two options. Those are : 1) position themselves behind the scenes to measure interest and make plans for a home run hire and 2) give O time to audition for the full time gig.
O is not my first preference. It has been Jimbo all along. But I will support O fully and hope for the best. And I don't see a clear cut stereotyping and similarities between pro Orgeron and folks who supported Miles till it was time to let him go.

Yes O has done a good job and deserves credit.. Hell he has probably earned a HC'n opportunity but not at. Top 5 program. He needs to win at a smaller program like 95% of coaches do before they're considered for a job like Lsu or a UT USC etc.
Posted on 11/14/16 at 11:40 am to TheHat7
So if you could make a choice from the available pack, who would you go with? I know Jimbo or TH is probably the most popular answer, but how about it- who would you choose?
Posted on 11/14/16 at 7:49 pm to bencoleman
Nope. Saying there's no way Aranda will work for Orgeron
