But if he's not the real #1 candidate, he would be easily used as deflection for whomever it is.

I think Jimbo is the #1 candidate because he is the safest big name out there. The Jimbo done deal may be a smokescreen though, but I think that only happens if he turned it down.

I believe this thread was started to throw people off the trail. Jimbo is the #1 choice, but Jimbo has told Alleva that he doesn't want it out until after the Noles play the gators. He told Alleva that if word gets out he's coming to Baton Rouge, then he won't come. (a la Miles to Michigan)
So, Alleva started this thread to convince us that Jimbo isn't coming.
It's sorta like being on double secret probation.
