None of that matters. Ed O was not a successful Coach and look. Sometimes you have to embrace the magic and Lane would 100% embrace the culture and expectations.

Fear is that its too good to be true.....

You could make an argument against ALL of the college coaching candidates right now

Every single one of them has some sort of flaw. Every single one of them have lost MULTIPLE games over the years

Look at what he’s done to that program as a whole

To hang your decision making on one stupid thing or trait is completely retarded and very short sighted

‘He called an inside zone when he should have ran a counter that one time in 2021 vs Eastern Tech so I don’t want him’

You people are dumm

No doubt, and its unfair to compare Kiffin or any coach to him. Just pointing out the age thing and the fact some are assuming Kiffin is a finished product. He has made massive changes since USC. Even his personal life as he apparently gave up drinking 4 yrs ago.

Lets just hope he continues working on his weaknesses.

gimmicks like what he did to Ole Miss uniforms

Ole Miss has the best uniforms and field design in college football.

Only the Rams and Chargers are on his level. Would love to see his ideas on our gameday looks

Would love to see some "BOOT UP" endzones in Geaux font

Not from me. I don’t think he is the answer. He shouldn’t even be asking the questions with how he behaved at TN and USC. The guy literally looks down at the floor and mumbles through good portions of his pressers.

Maybe the most fake character in college sports.

Anyone who thinks it’s done, or even likely, is just asking to be disappointed. Including Ole Miss and Florida fans.

Thanks, man No need to throw insults.

Lane has like two decades of coaching left

He won't need to financially after his next contract.

has leveled up Ole Miss into a consistently relevant program. Not that long ago they were only ahead of Vandy in terms of historical success.

What? Ole Miss isn't some massive program, but they have tons of fan support, have a lot of history, and certainly aren't on a Vanderbilt level historically. That is asinine.

He has done a good job there, I am first to admit that. But the way he got to that success I am not sure translates to LSU.

thinks every coach should win every game or they suck I presume

I never insinuated anything like this. Beat a dogshit Kentucky at home with a 5th year QB and top 3 defense and playoff hopes on the line? Yeah, I think he should've won that game.

Their traditional uniforms are fantastic. They wear a different gimmick uniform seemingly every week now.

That is just icing on my OP though, that's not the reason I think we should hire someone else.

Do you know what asinine means??

How many SEC championships does Vandy have? What about true national championships?

Now do Ole Miss

He said they were only above Vanderbilt historically. That is just untrue.

I hope LSU doesn’t hire him. Get a young, hungry, up and coming coach. Pay him a small base with a nice bonus for every win. These current ridiculous guaranteed contracts can’t continue.

I'd rather a young hungry guy that has something to prove.

He is 50, the same age as Saban in 2000. I would not have wanted Kiffin at 42 when he was hired at FAU.
