Not who do you wish, but who realistically would LSU target? I wouldn't even know where to start.

And no Bill Cowher is not an appropriate answer. Go.

Being this late, Miles might promote Ron Cooper which would be a disaster.

Reggie Herring, linebackers coach for the Cowboys. After Wade Phillips is shown the door and a new staff comes in. He's coached defense at Texas A&M and Arky and went to Florida State. NFL experience and has spent time in our recruiting area plus coached at an SEC school. Book it!

Why? Cooper is a great coach and apparently was a finalist for the position last year.

He is a great DB coach. He has been a DC at other places and not done so well. I would be very cautious about that hire.

This would be bad news....Chavis leaves, and we all want the change to happen on the offensive side

He just got here. With all the :OMG : on TD today I'm going to stick my head in the sand and pretend it's just getting blown out of proportion.

i would think these guys would be our top choices

-Reggie Herring-LB's dallas-has SEC experience with ole miss, arkansas, also coached at ole miss. not a bad position coach, similar to chavis in that his scheme is simple...all ways man to man, lots of blitzing, preaches toughness over scheme. with our guys he could be successful, doesnt recruit

-Jon Tenuta-eh maybe, he didnt have a lot to work with at tech or notre dame. very aggressive scheme

-Vic Koenning-K-State-a guy we targeted last year, former HC, maybe going to illinois or UGA though. he plays a 3-4/4-3 hybrid with lots of zone

-Mark Snyder-former marshall head coach-we went after him before we got pelini, runs a 4-3, was DC at ohio state

other possible
Greg Hudson-east carolina
Joe Tressey-south florida

Isn't Koenning the coach in-waiting at Kansas State?

Please no Reggie Herring. I watched him get shown the door at Clemson - deservedly.

Agree on Herring - no thanks. Watched him at Arkansas and was not impressed.
