Hypothetical LSU 'short list' rant fantasies

Let's run down names from previous coaching searches:
Spurrier, Gruden, Del Rio, Mack brown, Dennis erickson, Jimmy Johnson, Tubby, Nutt, the list goes on and on. Instead, we got Saban, who came out of nowhere, with little fanfare, and Les.
If we do have to bring in another head coach, history tells us it will not be anyone considered by the rant community.
And yes, I fricked up my post. LOL

I just think a trip down memory lane could provide a few laughs. Coaching changes are exciting as hell, until the new coach is named, and everyone is like 'meh'.
I've been pretty damn critical of Les over the years, but he's become one of the biggest personalities in college football. A new OC could cement the guy as a legend in LA. I'm torn.

Did someone really mention that? I wouldn't be shocked. Oh, and here's a few more prominent ones I remember...
RichRod
Beamer

And how could I forget 'Gruben'.

We could have had Beamer in 2004 but you know who didn't want to pay him.

Why is Spurrier on the list he is not that great of a choice. He is like a 7-5 coach now. He is not what he was at Florida.
