he should go to LSU and be asst. o.line coach,
yeah - he's definitely a Tiger great - but that doesn't always translate to coaching. He sure as hell deserves a shot - but he should start as an assistant - learn the ropes of coaching first.

I agree. That's why i disagreed with the poster that said he should be o.line coach already.

Just heard an interview with him and his career with the NFLPA but he was outed and I'm sure he is searching for career in football?
I think the point was made that he was not re-signed, though he might have had one more good year in the league, because he was the head of the NFLPA, and nobody wanted to have him on the roster going into what will surely be an "interesting" (to use the Chinese curse word) year for the league's labor relations in 2011. However, I did see where his term ended in September of 2010, so I'm not sure.
If Mawae isn't still the president, who is the pres of the NFLPA? Or is the office vacant right now (seems crazy with what's coming)?
ETA: Mawae is still listed as the president of the executive committee of the NFLPA as of today, 12/15/2010.

NFL draft cut and paste scout Adamm Wilson thinks Kevin Mawae has poor footwork

Ben would be just fine as the new main offensive line coach, but there are many good candidates out there & almost anything would be an improvement. But whoever it is, the Cotton Bowl game needs to be Stud's last at LSU. I'm sure a lot of posters on these boards would be happy to help him pack.

He and his family are extremely happy in Nashville. School system there is incredible. They won't be leaving Nashville any time soon.

When he left the NFL, he was still better than half the starting OC.
